- Birthday fun
- April 2011

The most amazing gift came to me from the whales on my birthday. It was a rainy day and all I wished for is an opening so that I can celebrate at the beach and look for whales as they begin their swim back north. Everyone was calling, asking if we are still gathering at the beach. I insisted on being outdoors. We got to the beach and hardly anyone was there, it was too rainy of an afternoon to be a beach day. We walked the bay and decided if there is even a tiny opening of blue sky, we would stay. Well, there was barely a tiny opening and so we brought out the foods and began the celebration. Not one drop of rain came down for the next 7 hours. Shortly before sunset, I wished for a whale to do something so I can see them on this day. About 5 minutes later, a whale began to flap its tale in the water, a full view of its complete tale. This continued for 36 flaps, we were all in awe, no one had ever seen such a show. It was magnificent and such a huge gift. It continues to bring a smile to me, deep in my heart. So grateful...

On the day of travel to California, my niece's father-in-law passed away. Hossein was a kind and wonderful man and I send his soul love and blessings. His passing has taught us many lessons on living life to the fullest and being present in the wondeful moments that make up our life. The big wedding of my beautiful niece and her amazing fiance is now postponed. Life is full of twists and turns; preparing for a wedding shifted to participation in a funeral.
Today I spoke with Ka'chi and she said there are earth magnetics shooting way high into the sky and raining down upon us causing emotional stirrings. We must stay alert and keep positive. The lesson continues to show itself. This afternoon Sierra and I went to the pool and when I was done and ready to warm up in the jaccuzi of the local community pool, Sierra got upset with me and wanted me back in the pool. I applied the Eckhard Tolle knowledge of "making friends with the present moment" and "respond to the needs of the moment" and felt it best to step back into the pool and be with Sierra. Just as I did that, a male and female duck flew in and landed in the pool. This is a community pool, nonetheless, only Sierra and I were in the pool with these 2 ducks. We hung out together in the pool for a long while and were blessed with the presence of these ducks. My mom was outside the pool and repeated that something like this has never happened to her before. It was a truly sweet time, just because the ducks decided to join us and bless our afternoon. Its all about the simple joys of life. Enjoying the moments... Permalink
